After perusing the Kaiser Fast Facts page, here is your health care fact of the day:

From Kaiser:

A small proportion of the U.S. population accounts for half of all U.S. health care spending.  The 5% of the population with higher health care expenses (=$16,336 annually) was responsible for nearly half (47.5%) of total health care spending, while the 50% of the population with the lowest expenses (<$825) accounted for only 3.1% of total spending.
