It’s a chart on Friday about tax revenue!

Apologies for the light posting. It’s crunch time at school for the next few weeks so don’t expect much. One thing I wanted to note was this chart comparing countries from the CBPP showing total tax revenue as a share of GDP:

As you can see we’re fairly far down the list, which I think is instructive for those seeking comparative perspectives on tax burdens.

I know I’ve seen this chart before but it was included in this post by Tim Noah, who incidentally notes that the federal tax burden for median-income families is still lower than at any other time since 1955.
