Given how much I focus on the healthcare reform and policy on this blog I thought I’d point out that Coursera is offering a (free) course through the University of Michigan on “Understanding and Improving the US Healthcare System.” The class is instructed by Matthew Davis (M.D., M.A.P.P.) over six weeks starting October 7th.
Here’s the short blurb for the course:
In this course, you will learn about the structure, accomplishments, and shortcomings of the US healthcare system, and how those have prompted attempts at reform. You will also take part in a unique, national group exercise, designed to help you understand how you can improve the US healthcare system.
Honestly, I’m not sure if I’ll have the time to do this but it is by far the most tempting (for me) MOOC offering yet.
